Amazon SES adds inbox placement and blocklist monitoring
Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) now offers inbox placement metrics and blocklist monitoring for outbound email sending. This feature helps customers understand spam folder placement and proactively monitor domain/IP reputation on public blocklists, aiding in content optimization for better engagement. It expands on existing Virtual Deliverability Manager capabilities by providing visibility into spam folder placement, a previously unavailable metric. The new features are available globally where SES is supported.

CloudWatch Logs Insights adds string, encode/decode, and parse commands
Amazon CloudWatch Logs Insights now supports 13 new query commands and functions for string manipulation, encoding/decoding, and log parsing. These enhancements allow users to derive deeper insights by performing operations like URL encoding, Base64 decoding, logfmt parsing, and calculating geographic distances directly within queries. The new capabilities are available today in all commercial AWS Regions and are particularly useful for analyzing non-JSON log formats and complex data.

CloudWatch Logs increases query result limit to 100,000
Amazon CloudWatch Logs now supports retrieving up to 100,000 query results, an increase from the previous limit of 10,000. This enhancement allows customers to view, visualize, and export larger result sets directly, simplifying data analysis and reducing the need for complex query splitting. The update is available in all commercial AWS regions and supports pagination via the GetQueryResults API.
