AlloyDB for PostgreSQL Gains CMEK Backup Vault & Cross-Region Backup Support

Google Cloud has announced the general availability of two significant backup features for AlloyDB for PostgreSQL. Backup vault support for instances encrypted with customer-managed encryption keys (CMEK) is now available, providing immutable and indelible storage with enforced retention policies. Additionally, cross-region backups for AlloyDB for PostgreSQL clusters are now generally available, enabling protection against regional outages by storing backups in a distinct secondary region.
