Amazon Bedrock now supports OpenAI GPT-5.6 models in India
Amazon Bedrock now allows customers in India to use OpenAI GPT-5.6 models (Terra and Luna) with India Geo cross-Region inference. This enables organizations to meet in-country inferencing regulatory requirements by ensuring all processing occurs within India's AWS regions. The service routes requests across Asia Pacific (Mumbai) and Asia Pacific (Hyderabad), scaling demand while maintaining data residency. It supports Responses, Chat Completions, and Converse APIs, integrating with existing Bedrock account controls for logging and cost management.
