Amazon DocumentDB adds R8g instances with Graviton4 processors

Amazon DocumentDB now supports R8g.24xlarge and R8g.48xlarge instances powered by AWS Graviton4 processors and DDR5 memory. These instances offer higher throughput and larger memory capacity, enabling more demanding workloads and improving performance for memory-intensive applications. Customers can adopt these new instances by modifying or creating DocumentDB clusters, with availability for DocumentDB 5.0+.

    New R8g instances are available for Amazon DocumentDB 5.0+ on both Standard and IO-Optimized storage configurations. Customers can deploy them via the AWS Management Console, CLI, or SDK when creating new clusters or modifying existing ones.
