Amazon EMR on EKS Now Supports IPv6 for Scalable Big Data Workloads
Amazon EMR on EKS now supports running workloads on IPv6 Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) clusters. This enhancement allows data platform and analytics teams to scale large Apache Spark and Apache Flink jobs using a vastly larger address space, eliminating the need for IPv4 conservation workarounds like secondary CIDR ranges. High-executor jobs can now run concurrently without planning around address limits. This capability is available at no additional cost, starting with Amazon EMR releases emr-7.14.0 and emr-spark-8.0.0, and supports various submission models.
