Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus increases metric and rule limits

Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus now supports 1.5 billion active metric time series and 200,000 rules per workspace, enabling larger-scale monitoring. This enhancement allows customers to store and analyze billions of Prometheus metrics organization-wide across many workspaces. It is designed for high-cardinality workloads in various environments and integrates with AWS security services. To utilize the increased limits, users must file a service limit increase request.

    Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus now supports up to 1.5 billion active metric time series and 200,000 total recording and alerting rules per workspace. This update allows for larger-scale monitoring and analysis of Prometheus metrics across an organization by enabling multiple workspaces per account.
