Amazon Neptune adds IPv6 dual-stack support
Amazon Neptune now supports dual-stack mode, allowing clusters to accept connections over IPv4, IPv6, or both simultaneously. This enables organizations to adopt IPv6 while maintaining compatibility with existing IPv4 deployments without application changes. Dual-stack mode is available in all AWS Regions and supports both private and public network configurations.
- →Dual-stack support for IPv4 and IPv6 connections
- →Private and public dual-stack configurations
- →Seamless protocol transition for clients

- Dual-stack support for IPv4 and IPv6 connections
Amazon Neptune now offers dual-stack mode, enabling database clusters to accept connections over IPv4, IPv6, or both protocols concurrently. This allows for the adoption of IPv6 while ensuring backward compatibility with existing IPv4 infrastructure.
- Private and public dual-stack configurations
The dual-stack mode includes two configurations: Private dual-stack mode offers isolated IPv6 endpoints for internal applications, while Public dual-stack mode provides internet-accessible IPv6 endpoints for external applications.
