Amazon OpenSearch Service now supports automatic semantic enrichment for VPC domains
Amazon OpenSearch Service has extended its automatic semantic enrichment feature to VPC-enabled domains. This allows customers with private network configurations to leverage AI-powered semantic search, transforming keyword-only queries into context-aware retrieval without public internet exposure. The enhancement improves search relevance while maintaining existing security postures for users requiring stricter network security. This capability is available in 11 regions globally and requires OpenSearch version 2.19 or later.
