Amazon Q Adds Approval Policies for Controlled Asset Sharing
Amazon Q now includes approval policies, providing administrators with governance controls over how sensitive assets are shared within their organization. These policies route share requests for assets like knowledge bases, spaces, and custom chat agents to designated approvers for review before access is granted. This ensures deliberate, compliant, and auditable sharing, with all workflow events captured in AWS CloudTrail for transparency. The feature is available for Professional and Enterprise plans in all AWS Regions supporting Amazon Q agentic capabilities.

- Implement Approval Policies for Asset Sharing
Amazon Q administrators can now create approval policies to govern the sharing of sensitive assets such as knowledge bases, spaces, and custom chat agents. Share requests for policy-covered assets are routed to assigned approver groups, ensuring deliberate and compliant access through a review workflow. All associated workflow events are recorded in AWS CloudTrail for auditability.
