Amazon Q now offers per-user resource limits for better cost control

aiawsgaarchitect
feature

Amazon Q administrators can now set per-user limits on index storage and agent hours, allowing direct control over subscription costs. This feature enables organizations to create limit profiles at the user, role, or account level to prevent unexpected overage charges and ensure efficient resource utilization. It helps establish cost-predictable baselines for enterprise deployments while allowing higher limits for specific roles. This capability is available for Professional and Enterprise plans in all AWS Regions that support Amazon Q's agentic functions.
