feature announcement

Amazon SageMaker JumpStart now provides IBM's granite-speech-4.1-2b, Kakao's kanana-2-30b-a3b-instruct, and the OpenFold Consortium's OpenFold3 models. These additions expand the foundation model portfolio, offering specialized capabilities for multilingual speech recognition, bilingual agentic AI, and biomolecular structure prediction. Enterprises, researchers, and developers can deploy these high-performance models to address diverse AI challenges. The models are readily available through the SageMaker console or Python SDK, simplifying deployment for various use cases.

  • IBM's granite-speech-4.1-2b for multilingual speech recognition
  • Kakao's kanana-2-30b-a3b-instruct for bilingual agentic AI
  • OpenFold3 for biomolecular complex structure prediction
Features (3)
  • IBM's granite-speech-4.1-2b for multilingual speech recognition

This compact 2B-parameter speech-language model provides multilingual automatic speech recognition (ASR) and bidirectional speech translation (AST) across six languages, including English, French, and Japanese. It delivers high efficiency with a 5.33% word error rate and integrates into enterprise voice workflows under an Apache 2.0 license.

  • Kakao's kanana-2-30b-a3b-instruct for bilingual agentic AI

Developed by Kakao, this 30B-parameter model excels in bilingual Korean-English instruction following and agentic AI workflows. It uses a Multi-head Latent Attention (MLA) and Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architecture for superior throughput, supporting up to 128K tokens via YaRN scaling.

  • OpenFold3 for biomolecular complex structure prediction

The OpenFold Consortium's OpenFold3 is a diffusion-based model that predicts all-atom biomolecular complex structures for proteins, DNA, RNA, and small-molecule ligands. It extends structure prediction beyond single proteins to model multi-chain complexes, supporting computer-aided drug design and pharmaceutical research.
