Amazon WorkSpaces Now Supports Nested Virtualization for Development Workloads
Amazon WorkSpaces now allows nested virtualization for Personal and Core Managed Bundles, enabling developers to run hypervisor-dependent tools directly on their virtual desktops. This feature supports tools like Docker Desktop, Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL2), KVM-based workloads, and Android emulators. It is available across various Windows Server, Windows, Ubuntu, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions using the DCV protocol. Administrators can manage this setting at the workspace level, enhancing flexibility for development environments.
