Anthropic has updated its billing policy to resume charges for certain low false-positive refusal categories on the Claude platform, affecting how users manage costs for AI interactions. Additionally, local session endpoints for the Compliance API are now generally available for Claude for Microsoft 365, offering improved oversight for enterprise deployments.     The Compliance API's local session endpoints are now out of beta for Claude for Microsoft 365 sessions across Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. This provides stable access to compliance features for these key enterprise applications. Users can now retrieve local session data to manage Claude usage within the Microsoft 365 environment.

  • Compliance API Activity Feed no longer returns file or artifact names

    The Compliance API's Activity Feed has been updated to omit or provide empty values for `filename` and `title` fields on file, project document, and artifact activities. This change applies retroactively, enhancing privacy. To retrieve names or titles, users now require a Compliance Access Key with the `read:compliance_user_data` scope.

  • Resumed billing for specific Claude refusal categories

    Anthropic is now billing for refusals that occur before any output in specific categories such as "bio", "frontier_llm", or "reasoning_extraction". Mid-stream refusals were already billed, and charges for these specific categories are at the standard model rates. Refusals in other categories before output remain unbilled.
