feature

Google Cloud's App Engine flexible environment for Node.js will begin enforcing TLS version 1.2 and later, starting in August 2026. This measure is designed to improve application security by preventing connections from older, less secure TLS versions. Users will have an option to opt out until the end of August 2026, after which App Engine may permanently block traffic using TLS 1.1 and earlier protocols from September 2026.
