App Engine standard environment to enforce TLS 1.2+ for PHP applications
To enhance security, Google App Engine will automatically opt PHP applications in the standard environment into TLS version 1.2 and later, starting in August 2026. Developers will have the option to opt out of this enforcement until the end of August 2026. However, from September 2026, App Engine reserves the right to permanently block traffic using insecure TLS versions 1.1 and earlier.
