AWS Announces Service Availability Changes and Sunsets

AWS is announcing significant availability changes for numerous services, including some entering maintenance, sunset, or end-of-support phases. These changes will impact new and existing customers, with specific dates provided for when services will become inaccessible or cease operations. Customers are advised to consult migration guides and product pages to plan transitions away from affected services.

  • Services Moving to Maintenance: No New Customers After July 30, 2026

  • Services Moving to Maintenance: No New Customers After July 30, 2026

    Several AWS services, including Amazon Bedrock Agents Classic, Amazon Cognito Sync, and various SageMaker AI features, will no longer be accessible to new customers starting July 30, 2026. Existing users can continue to utilize these services, which AWS will operate and support.

  • AWS IoT Device Defender - Detect Unavailable for New Customers After August 31, 2026

    The AWS IoT Device Defender - Detect feature will become inaccessible to new customers starting August 31, 2026. Existing customers will be able to continue using the service.

  • Services Entering Sunset: Operations and Support to End

    Amazon WorkSpaces (PCoIP and Pool), AWS Managed Services (AMS) Advanced, and AWS re:Post Private are entering sunset. AWS will end operations and support for these services, and customers should plan migration to alternatives.

  • Services Reached End of Support as of June 30, 2026

    Amazon Chime SDK – Carrier Voice Focus, Amazon SageMaker AI – Ground Truth Plus, and specific AWS Elemental MediaLive and MediaPackage configurations have reached end of support and are no longer available as of June 30, 2026.
