AWS Backup improves S3 backup copy performance
AWS Backup now offers up to 8x faster S3 backup copy operations for large buckets with low change rates by enhancing its change tracking mechanism. This optimization reduces the time for cross-account and cross-Region S3 backup copies by eliminating full object scans. The enhancement is automatically applied to new copy jobs at no additional cost.
