AWS Elemental MediaLive Adds Video Aligned Locking for Frame-Accurate Pipeline Sync
AWS Elemental MediaLive now supports Video Aligned Locking, a new feature designed to synchronize video pipelines without requiring traditional timecode from the source. This capability addresses a common challenge in digital streaming workflows where timecode is often unavailable or difficult to manage, unlike in traditional broadcast. It uses visual signatures to automatically identify and align specific frames across multiple video streams, enabling frame-accurate input switching. The feature supports various outputs including HLS, MediaPackage, CMAF Ingest, UDP, and SRT.
