AWS End User Messaging now supports sending rich cards, carousels, images, videos, and interactive suggestion buttons via RCS. Recipients can confirm appointments, browse catalogs, complete payments, share locations, or interact with AI agents directly within their messaging app.
- RCS Conversation pricing introduced
For 21 countries, AWS End User Messaging introduces RCS Conversation pricing with a flat rate for unlimited messages within a 24-hour session, removing per-message cost pressure for back-and-forth workflows.

The service now supports four RCS message types (text, files, rich cards, carousels) and six actions (replies, URLs, webviews, phone calls, maps, calendar events). This enables web and mobile app experiences to be embedded directly into conversations.

- RCS messaging availability and fallback
RCS messaging is available in all AWS Regions where AWS End User Messaging is offered. Configurable SMS or MMS fallback is supported for recipients without RCS.
