AWS Entity Resolution Adds Real-Time Advanced Matching
AWS Entity Resolution now supports real-time matching for advanced rulesets, enabling sub-second record matching with complex logic via the GenerateMatchId API. This addresses a gap where sophisticated rulesets were previously limited to slower batch processing, impacting use cases like fraud detection. Customers can now achieve real-time entity resolution with advanced logic without additional infrastructure by setting a flag in their matching workflows. The feature is available in all AWS Regions where Entity Resolution is offered.

Features (1) ›
- Enable real-time matching with advanced rulesets
AWS Entity Resolution now supports real-time matching for advanced matching workflows, allowing customers to match records in milliseconds using complex rulesets through the GenerateMatchId API. This is an expansion from previous limitations where advanced rulesets were only available for batch processing.
Enhancements (1) ›
- Real-time entity resolution for critical applications
Customers performing tasks like fraud detection, real-time account lookup, or website personalization can now leverage advanced matching rules for immediate results. This eliminates the need for separate matching infrastructure or application re-architecture for real-time needs.
Notes (1) ›
- Simple enablement for advanced real-time matching
To activate advanced real-time matching, customers can set the enableRealTimeMatching parameter to true within their matching workflow and then call the existing GenerateMatchId API. No new endpoints or migration processes are required. The feature is available in all AWS Regions supporting AWS Entity Resolution.
