AWS IAM Role Manager Automates Service Role Setup
AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) has launched Role Manager, a new capability that automates the setup of necessary IAM roles for AWS services. When configuring supported services via the console, Role Manager creates a default role or reuses an existing one, simplifying initial service deployment. Users can enable or disable the feature, inspect managed templates, and later refine permissions using IAM Access Analyzer for tighter controls. This feature is generally available in most AWS Regions, supporting six AWS service consoles at launch, including AWS Lambda and Amazon EventBridge.
