AWS Network Firewall is reintroducing forward proxy capabilities as a functionality within the existing Network Firewall service. This change allows customers to use a single security policy for both explicit proxy and transparent firewall deployments, simplifying management and maintaining feature parity. This update is available in public preview in the US East (Ohio) region and is free during the preview period, primarily benefiting network and security engineers managing cloud infrastructure.
