AWS Organizations doubles Resource Control Policy limit to 2,000
AWS Organizations has increased the quota for resource control policies (RCPs) from 1,000 to 2,000 per organization. This change benefits customers managing large, complex AWS environments by allowing more granular, centralized access control configurations across member accounts without encountering policy limits. The increased quota is available at no additional cost in all supported AWS Regions and applies automatically to existing organizations.

Resource control policies (RCPs) allow customers to centrally manage the maximum permissions available to resources across member accounts. They restrict external principals from accessing resources within an organization's member accounts, enforcing organization-wide access control guidelines without modifying individual resource policies.
- Increased quota available at no additional cost
The increased quota of 2,000 RCPs per organization is available at no additional cost in all AWS Regions where AWS Organizations is supported. Existing organizations automatically benefit from this higher limit, requiring no customer action.
