Azure Application Gateway gains HTTP/3 over QUIC support in public preview

networkingazurepreviewengineer
feature announcement

Azure Application Gateway now offers public preview support for HTTP/3 over QUIC, enhancing performance for modern web applications and APIs. This upgrade improves connection setup, reduces latency, and boosts resiliency, especially for latency-sensitive workloads like web applications, messaging platforms, and APIs. QUIC minimizes packet loss impact and provides better responsiveness over high-latency or unreliable networks. The feature can be selectively enabled at the listener level on Basic listeners, configurable via the Azure portal or REST API during preview.
