Azure Arc Open Service Mesh Extension to be Retired Sept 30, 2027
The Open Service Mesh (OSM) extension for Azure Arc-enabled Kubernetes will be retired on September 30, 2027. This follows the archival of the upstream open-source OSM project, meaning no new features or minor releases will be provided. Security patches will continue until the retirement date. Users are advised to migrate to alternatives like Istio, with migration guidance available.
