Azure Monitor Auxiliary Logs Plan now offers generally available support for standard Azure tables and the ability to switch existing tables between Analytics and Auxiliary plans. This enables a more cost-effective approach for retaining high-volume, verbose logs for compliance and auditing, even for data rarely queried. Users can keep low-value data on its original standard table or switch plans reversibly, preserving history, schema, and integrations without needing custom pipelines or table recreation.

The plan now supports a subset of standard Azure tables alongside DCR-based custom tables, allowing users to retain low-value data on its original table while preserving its name, schema, and queries.

Users can now switch existing tables between Analytics and Auxiliary plans without recreation, applying the change in place and preserving history, schema, and integrations for reversible workload evolution.
