- BigQuery Data Transfer Service billing label to change
Starting August 11, 2026, the billing label for the BigQuery Data Transfer Service SKU will change from goog-bq-feature-type: DATA_TRANSFER_SERVICE to goog-bq-feature-type: data_transfer_service (lowercase). This update aims to unify cost views by including data transfer orchestration, load, and merge operations under a single label.

To ensure continuous cost visibility, users are advised to update their billing exports, dashboards, and reporting queries to recognize both the existing uppercase and the new lowercase billing labels.
