Claude Workbench and Prompt Tools APIs to be Retired
Anthropic is retiring the legacy Claude Console Workbench on August 17, 2026, and will no longer support saved prompts, variables, or evals. The experimental prompt tools APIs will also be retired on the same date. Users should export any necessary data from the legacy Workbench and be aware that API requests to the retired endpoints will fail after the sunset date.

The legacy Workbench at platform.claude.com is being sunset. Saved prompts, variables, and evals will not be supported in the updated Workbench. Users can export data from the banner or Organizational Settings.
- Experimental Prompt Tools APIs to be retired August 17, 2026
The experimental prompt generation, improvement, and templating APIs are being retired along with the Workbench. Requests to these endpoints will return an error after August 17, 2026.
