Cloud Database Migration Service supports Cloud SQL for SQL Server sources
Cloud Database Migration Service now offers dedicated support for Cloud SQL for SQL Server as a source in homogeneous SQL Server migrations. This enhancement simplifies migrations by automatically exporting backups and uploading them to Cloud Storage. The feature is now generally available and is relevant for engineers and architects migrating SQL Server databases to Cloud SQL.

- Cloud Database Migration Service
Database Migration Service for homogeneous SQL Server migrations now provides dedicated support for Cloud SQL for SQL Server sources. This feature is generally available ( GA ). For Cloud SQL for SQL Server sources, Database Migration Service automatically exports all required backup files and uploads them to a dedicated Cloud Storage bucket.
