Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL now supports Workforce Identity Federation authentication. This enhancement allows users to authenticate to their Cloud SQL instances using identities from external identity providers such as Microsoft Active Directory or Okta. It simplifies identity management and strengthens security for database access by leveraging existing corporate directories.
