Databricks OpenSharing Supports Foreign Delta Tables (Public Preview)
Databricks OpenSharing now allows users to share foreign Delta tables, which are Delta-format tables registered in external catalogs. This capability enables data providers to share tables from sources like OneLake, Hive metastore, or AWS Glue. Recipients can access the shared data in a read-only format, facilitating broader data interoperability. This new functionality is currently available in Public Preview.
