Databricks Lakeflow Jobs to Support JAR Tasks on Serverless Compute for Compliance Profiles
Databricks will automatically enable JAR tasks on serverless compute for workspaces with the compliance security profile enabled, starting in early October 2026. This enhancement allows users to package Java or Scala Spark code into a JAR and execute it as a Lakeflow Job. The change simplifies operations by removing the need to provision or manage clusters, providing a streamlined method for running Spark code in compliant environments.
