Databricks OpenSharing SecureConnect has reached general availability. This feature allows data providers to securely share data from cloud storage located behind a firewall or private endpoint, eliminating the need to add each recipient's network to an allowlist. Recipients can access these shared data assets using their existing OpenSharing configurations. SecureConnect is rolling out by default for provider accounts and will see expanded networking billing for various charge types and access scenarios, including recipient charges.
