Databricks OpenSharing SecureConnect Reaches General Availability, Enabled by Default
OpenSharing SecureConnect is now generally available and enabled by default for Databricks accounts on the Premium plan. For Enterprise plan accounts, Databricks plans to automatically enable the feature in mid-September 2026, with further rollout to other accounts by early 2027. Until default enablement, account administrators on the provider side can activate a preview of SecureConnect through the account console's Previews page. This feature facilitates secure data sharing behind a firewall.
