Databricks Rolls Out Automatic Upgrades for Row Tracking and Checkpoint V2
Databricks is initiating a gradual rollout of automatic upgrades for existing Unity Catalog managed tables. This introduces row tracking and Checkpoint V2 capabilities, which were previously only available for newly created tables. Features are activated only after an observation window verifies that all client access supports them. This expansion provides advanced data management and integrity features to a broader base of existing Databricks users.
