GCP Managed Airflow (Composer) Begins Rollout of New Release, Adds Airflow 3.3.1

GCP's Managed Service for Apache Airflow (Composer) has started rolling out a new release as of August 20, 2026. This update introduces Airflow 3.3.1 for Gen 3 environments and includes new builds and images for both Gen 2 and Gen 3. Key enhancements include Podman support in the Composer Local Development CLI and an upgrade to `apache-airflow-providers-google` v22.3.0. Users should be aware that some changes may still be propagating across regions as the rollout is in progress.
