Gemini Enterprise: Agent Designer defaults to Gemini 3.1 Pro
Gemini Enterprise's Agent Designer now defaults to Gemini 3.1 Pro for new agents in US and Global regions. This change aims to provide improved performance for users, with existing agents already migrated to the new default model. Users can still select Gemini 2.5 Pro or Gemini 2.5 Flash after creation or manually revert their agents if preferred.

Gemini Enterprise: Agent Designer defaults to Gemini 3.1 Pro for US and Global regions New agents created in Agent Designer use Gemini 3.1 Pro by default in the US and Global regions. Gemini Enterprise app users can select Gemini 2.5 Pro or Gemini 2.5 Flash in the agent settings after creation. Default configurations in other regions where Gemini 3.1 Pro is not available remain unchanged. Existing Agent Designer agents in US and Global regions that previously used Gemini 2.5 Pro or Gemini 2.5 Flash have been migrated to Gemini 3.1 Pro to provide improved performance.
