GitHub Enterprise Importer now supports GitLab migrations
GitHub Enterprise Importer (GEI) migrations from GitLab to GitHub Enterprise Cloud are now generally available, enabling self-serve repository transfers. This allows for single or bulk repository migrations from both gitlab.com and self-managed GitLab instances. Users can choose between GitHub-hosted or their own cloud storage for migration archives.

- Migrate repositories from GitLab to GitHub Enterprise Cloud
GitHub Enterprise Importer (GEI) now supports migrations from gitlab.com and currently maintained versions of GitLab Self-Managed to GitHub Enterprise Cloud. Migrations to GitHub Enterprise Server are not supported.
- Self-serve single or bulk repository migrations
Users can now self-serve repository migrations using GEI and the gh gl2gh command-line extension. This supports both single-repository migrations and scripted bulk migrations.

- Flexible migration archive staging options
Migration archives can be staged in GitHub-owned blob storage or user-provided AWS S3 or Azure Blob storage accounts. This capability is available for migrations into organizations on GitHub Enterprise Cloud on github.com and ghe.com.
