Features (3) ›
- Deliver agent-ready data products with AI-friendly metadata
Cortex Framework v7 packages enterprise data into semantically rich data products with AI-friendly metadata, translating raw SAP tables into clear business terms. This enables AI agents to reason, orchestrate, and execute workflows, maintaining high data fidelity for LLM interactions and analytics. Purpose-built accelerators for SAP ERP and SAP Business Data Cloud deploy directly in BigQuery and can register in Knowledge Catalog.
- Accelerate custom AI projects with agentic data product builder
The release includes agent skills for an agentic data product builder, allowing data and knowledge engineers to use natural language to generate custom data products. An AI agent can automate the build process, adapting to specific source data requirements and customizations, as demonstrated with Google Antigravity and Gemini.
- Build faster with modular, version-controlled data pipelines
Dataform powers modernized data pipelines in Cortex Framework v7, providing version control and native dependency management. The framework deploys only required tables, handles order-of-operations, and generates dependency graphs for efficient processing. This modular approach supports complex SAP environments, compiling and deploying data products for SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and BDC sources in parallel with dynamic schema discovery for custom fields.
Enhancements (2) ›
- Scale cost-effectively with flexible processing and reduced overhead
Cortex Framework v7 defaults to BigQuery incremental loading and non-destructive schema updates, processing only new or modified data to minimize compute time and operational expenses. Orchestration relies on Dataform’s serverless, BigQuery-native execution for scalable processing without additional infrastructure. A bring-your-own (BYO) change data capture (CDC) approach is also supported.
- Native support for SAP Business Data Cloud Connect
Cortex Framework v7 now natively supports SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) standard and custom data products, following the GA of SAP Business Data Cloud Connect for BigQuery. Combining Cortex Framework data products with SAP BDC data products can uncover new business opportunities. Solution samples across SAP BDC and SAP ERP data are included to help answer critical business questions.
Notes (1) ›
- Co-innovation with industry leaders for enterprise-scale agility
Google Cloud collaborated closely with its Professional Services Organization and industry leaders for testing and feedback on Cortex Framework v7. These lighthouse customers provided input to shape a framework designed for enterprise-scale agility and AI readiness, with a focus on making SAP data more accessible and semantically meaningful for analytics and AI initiatives.
