Google Cloud Model Armor Updates Filter Versions: v4 Latest, v3 Stable
Google Cloud has updated its Model Armor Feature Filter versions, with v4 now set as the default for the Latest alias and v3 promoted to the Stable alias in most regions. Older filter versions v1 and v2 are transitioning to Legacy status and will be retired by December 17, 2026. Users who have explicitly configured their templates with v1 or v2 in affected regions must migrate to v3 or the Stable alias. This ensures continued functionality and leverages the latest feature filter capabilities.

Filter version v4 is available and set as the default for the Latest alias. Filter version v3 is promoted to the Stable alias in all supported regions except the following: In asia-northeast3 , v1 remains the Stable version. In australia-southeast2 , v3 becomes the Stable version on September 25, 2026. If your templates use the Stable alias, they automatically upgrade to v3 when v3 becomes Stable in that region.
