Managed Service for Apache Spark Adds ARM Support for Lightning Engine with NQE
Managed Service for Apache Spark now supports Lightning Engine with Native Query Execution (NQE) on ARM. This enhancement enables accelerated vectorized query execution for Apache Spark SQL, Cloud Storage Parquet, Apache Iceberg, and Delta Lake workloads. It is available for image version 2.3 clusters (2.3-ubuntu22-arm) and leverages Google Axion (C4A) instances.
