AWS Transform enhances migration assessments with new capabilities
AWS Transform now provides advanced migration assessment features including what-if scenarios, customizable assumptions, and TCO analysis to accelerate migration decisions. This update allows users to incorporate various data sources and include additional pillars of the Cloud Value Framework for comprehensive business cases. These new capabilities are available in all AWS Transform regions for engineers and architects planning AWS migrations.

- Advanced migration assessment capabilities added
AWS Transform now supports what-if scenarios, customizable assumptions, flexible file formats, and enhanced total cost of ownership (TCO) assessment features. This allows users to quickly build migration business cases and accelerate decision-making.
- Support for diverse data sources in assessments
Assessments can now utilize data from RVTools exports, CMDB data, AWS Transform discovery tool exports, and various third-party discovery tools. This flexibility allows users to start assessments with available data.
- Enhanced what-if scenario analysis
Users can create what-if scenarios with customized assumptions for region, resource utilization, and service mapping. The tool allows comparison of scenarios to identify optimal migration paths.
- Inclusion of multiple analyses in cost modelling
What-if scenarios can now include cost modelling for services such as EC2, FSx, S3, SQL Server on EC2, and virtual desktops.

Assessments can be enriched by including additional pillars of the Cloud Value Framework, such as staff productivity, operational resilience, business agility, and sustainability.
