Oracle Database@AWS adds Oracle Autonomous AI Database Serverless

Oracle Database@AWS now supports Oracle Autonomous AI Database Serverless (ADB-S), a managed Exadata service. This integration allows provisioning directly from AWS, simplifying operations for AI Transaction Processing, AI Lakehouse, AI JSON Database, and APEX workloads. ADB-S includes automated management, independent scaling, high availability, and integrates with AWS security and monitoring services, launching in US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon) regions.

    Oracle Database@AWS now offers Oracle Autonomous AI Database Serverless (ADB-S), a fully managed Oracle database service on Exadata infrastructure. It supports AI Transaction Processing, AI Lakehouse, AI JSON Database, and Oracle APEX workloads.

  • Simplified provisioning and management

    ADB-S can be provisioned directly from the AWS Management Console, CLI, or APIs, eliminating the need for dedicated Exadata infrastructure. The service automatically handles patching, tuning, and scaling, with independent scaling for compute and storage.

  • Integrated high availability and disaster recovery

    The service includes Autonomous Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery, automated backups to Amazon S3, and cross-Region disaster recovery capabilities.

  • Integration with AWS services

    ADB-S integrates with AWS Key Management Service (KMS) for encryption, Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring, and Amazon EventBridge for event management.
