Features (1) ›
- Introduce 3-year all-upfront pricing for Redshift Serverless reservations

Enhancements (1) ›
- Increased flexibility in cost optimization for Redshift Serverless
This new pricing option complements existing 1-year and 3-year no-upfront options, providing greater flexibility to match financial preferences. Serverless Reservations commit to a specific number of RPUs to optimize and predict compute costs.
Notes (2) ›
- Serverless Reservations offer shared cost savings and on-demand fallback
Managed at the AWS payer account level, Serverless Reservations can be shared across multiple AWS accounts to reduce compute costs for all Redshift Serverless workloads. Usage exceeding the reserved RPU level is charged at standard on-demand rates.
- Availability and purchase options for new pricing
The all-upfront pricing option is available in all AWS commercial and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions where Redshift Serverless is supported. Purchases can be made through the Amazon Redshift console or the Serverless Reservations API.
