Amazon Bedrock adds Claude Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5 in UK (London) region
Amazon Bedrock now provides in-region support for Anthropic's Claude Opus 5.5 and Claude Sonnet 5 models in the UK (London) Region. This expansion enables customers with UK data residency requirements to process data within the country while utilizing these large language models at scale. It particularly benefits those in financial services, healthcare, and the public sector, ensuring inference requests and data remain within the eu-west-2 region. Access to these models is available via the bedrock-runtime endpoint.
