Amazon Nova 2.5 Sonic GA: Enhanced Reasoning for Real-time Voice Agents
Amazon Nova 2.5 Sonic, a speech-to-speech model for natural, real-time voice agents, is now generally available. This release significantly improves reasoning, instruction following, and tool-calling accuracy while reducing latency for faster interactions. Developers can leverage these advancements to build more capable voice agents that maintain context, handle multi-step instructions, and integrate external tools for complex customer tasks. Nova 2.5 Sonic is available in select AWS regions via Amazon Bedrock, with the same pricing as Nova 2 Sonic, and integrates with the newly GA Strands Bidi Agents.
