Amazon Bedrock adds CloudWatch metrics for OpenAI/Anthropic APIs
Amazon Bedrock now provides Amazon CloudWatch metrics for inference traffic to the bedrock-mantle endpoint, which supports OpenAI and Anthropic APIs. This allows customers to monitor usage, set up alarms, and plan capacity for generative AI applications running on Bedrock. The new metrics are available in all regions where the bedrock-mantle endpoint is offered and can be accessed via the AWS/BedrockMantle namespace in the CloudWatch console.

- →Granular metrics for usage attribution and cost management
- →Monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning enabled
- →Regional availability of metrics
Features (1) ›
- CloudWatch metrics available for bedrock-mantle endpoint
Amazon Bedrock customers can now monitor inference traffic to the bedrock-mantle endpoint using Amazon CloudWatch metrics. This endpoint supports OpenAI and Anthropic compatible APIs, enabling easier monitoring of generative AI applications.
Enhancements (1) ›
- Granular metrics for usage attribution and cost management
CloudWatch metrics are published under the AWS/BedrockMantle namespace with various granularity levels, including account, project, model, and project-and-model. This allows customers to attribute usage and costs to specific workloads and teams.
Notes (2) ›
- Monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning enabled
With these new metrics, customers can monitor production inference, set up alarms for performance issues, and plan capacity for the bedrock-mantle endpoint.
- Regional availability of metrics
CloudWatch metrics for the bedrock-mantle endpoint are available in all AWS Regions where the endpoint is offered, including multiple regions in North America, Asia Pacific, Europe, and South America.
