Amazon Bedrock AgentCore adds production agent optimization
AWS has introduced new optimization capabilities for Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, allowing agents to learn from production usage to improve continuously. These features address silent agent failures by surfacing insights into agent behavior and recommending specific, data-grounded fixes. The new tools, including failure, intent, and trajectory insights, are aimed at developers and architects building and managing AI agents, with some features available in preview and others generally available across multiple AWS Regions.

- Production agent optimization with AgentCore
AgentCore now offers capabilities to continuously improve agents by learning from production traces. This addresses silent failures that do not generate errors, using customer data to understand agent behavior and generate grounded fixes.
- Insights into agent behavior
New insights help understand agent performance across hundreds of sessions, revealing patterns in failures, user intents, and agent trajectories. Failure insights identify and rank recurring problems, while intent and trajectory insights cluster requests and common task paths.
- Data-driven recommendations for improvement
Recommendations analyze traces and evaluation outputs to suggest specific adjustments to prompts and tool descriptions, grounded in observed agent behavior and providing a clear rationale for each change.
- Validation and A/B testing for agent changes
Batch evaluation tests recommended changes against defined datasets and multiple evaluators, while A/B testing confirms improvements in live production by splitting traffic and measuring outcomes.
