Amazon Connect Customer enables API management for custom metrics
Amazon Connect Customer now offers seven new API operations to programmatically create, manage, and search custom metrics. This enhancement enables organizations to define and consistently manage unique business measurements across various instances, preventing definition drift and ensuring data accuracy for critical decisions. Customer experience leaders and operations teams can leverage these APIs to automate metric creation and integrate with monitoring dashboards without manual console work. All changes are tracked in AWS CloudTrail, providing a complete audit trail for compliance.

Amazon Connect Customer now provides seven new API operations (CreateMetric, DeleteMetric, DescribeMetric, ListMetrics, SearchMetrics, UpdateMetricContent, UpdateMetricMetadata) to programmatically create, manage, and search custom metrics. This allows for consistent definition and management of unique business measurements across queues, teams, and environments, ensuring data accuracy for decision-making. All changes made via the API are tracked in AWS CloudTrail for auditability.
