Amazon EC2 I7ie instances are now available in the AWS Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) region. These instances are designed for storage-intensive workloads, offering improved compute performance and price-performance over previous generations. They provide high-density local NVMe storage and enhanced real-time storage performance, making them suitable for demanding data access patterns. The instances are available in multiple sizes with high network and EBS bandwidth.

Amazon EC2 I7ie instances are now generally available in the AWS Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) region. These instances are powered by 5th Gen Intel Xeon Processors and designed for large storage I/O intensive workloads.

I7ie instances offer up to 40% better compute performance and 20% better price performance compared to existing I3en instances. They also provide up to twice the vCPUs and memory of prior generation instances.
- High-density local NVMe storage with enhanced performance
Featuring up to 120TB of local NVMe storage density, I7ie instances leverage 3rd generation AWS Nitro SSDs. This results in up to 65% better real-time storage performance, 50% lower storage I/O latency, and 65% lower latency variability than I3en instances.
- Multiple instance sizes and network/EBS bandwidth
The I7ie instances are available in 9 different virtual sizes. They offer up to 100Gbps of network bandwidth and 60Gbps of bandwidth for Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS).
